The aim of the Overgate Hospice Choir is to raise funds for Overgate Hospice through singing – and we have an enjoyable time doing so. All our concerts raise money – we cover the costs of each concert in advance so that all the income from ticket sales can be given to the Hospice.
We welcome new members who enjoy singing together and can confidently follow a music score. We usually give four performances across each year and expect that members will commit to our full annual programme. This enables us to give our best performances – all in aid of Overgate Hospice.
Our rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 7.45pm to 9.30pm in St Jude’s Church and Parish Hall, Savile Park, Halifax, HX1 2XE.
We do not hold auditions for the Choir. Our members pay an annual subscription towards the costs associated with the weekly rehearsals.
